The N-Youth League Cup is an elite youth league competition with the mission of providing a world-class football experience and competition for teenagers and young adults between the ages of 16–19 (U-19).
Aside from music, the only other form of entertainment that brings people together—irrespective of language, religion, and culture—is football. Football is an overwhelming moment of beauty, spirit, and pride. In the most populous country in Africa, that passion is palpable.
It is more than just a game; it is life, especially for most Nigerian youth. The Nigeria Youth League Cup is a competition designed to change the lives of these passionate football enthusiasts by giving them a platform to make their dreams of playing professional football for top clubs come true, setting the bar for positive engagement nationwide.
Like every big thing ever built, we are not doing this alone. We are harmonizing efforts from various stakeholders in the football industry locally and internationally to create sustainable and scalable grassroots competition across the country. These stakeholders include football federations, professional clubs, corporate brands, media outlets, technical staff, and licensed intermediaries.
Preparatory press engagements and official online domain registration. Season opening ceremony and opening match kicked off on 8th September 2024.
Hosted across 10 selected cities featuring 30 teams divided into Northern & Southern Conferences. Teams execute 420 games total (28 matches per team).
Conference champions battle in the grand finale for a grand prize of ₦40,000,000, along with official trophies and medals crafted by Thomas Lyte.
